Most modern processors, especially the ones which are made for laptop computers, have various power saving technologies, which can automatically reduce their speed for saving battery power. The problem is that it's really difficult to find out what the real speed of the processor is, especially when a power saving technology is activated.

For this problem, CPU Speed is the solution. This Windows application can test the real speed of your CPU and can accurately display it in no time. The application is compatible with most processor models, even older ones. After installing the program, the user will just need to click on the "Test CPU Speed" button. At this point, CPU Speed will start measuring the speed of the processor and will display it in real time, as the process is ongoing. Besides displaying the CPU speed in MhZ, the program can also show if the CPU is running at full speed or not.

After the measuring process is complete, the user can submit the speed of his CPU online and compare it to other values from around the world. The user can view the speed of his CPU compared to others using a graphical chart and can also view the top 10 CPUs from around the world. Furthermore, CPU Speed can also display some detailed information about the CPU, like the model type, vendor, published speed, supported instructions, but also the operating system's name and available RAM memory.
